UJOSS Lakes state team met with governor Tueny on how the union’s branch in Lakes State can work hand in hand with the state government. During the meeting, the governor assured the team that his government would ensure the safety and protection of journalists in Lakes State. Governor Tueny also told the UJOSS executives to occupy one office in the state secretariat once the renovation is over.
This comes after UJOSS with support from UNESCO conducted a three-day capacity building and a round table discussion among security forces, government officials and journalists in Lakes State
